Sanderson–Fort Stockton area, West Texas – A tall, narrow funnel cloud was seen extending downward from dark storm clouds toward the ground near an industrial site in rural West Texas.
The rotating column of dust and condensation was visible against a partly cloudy blue sky. In the foreground, wet pavement and parked pickup trucks were located near a large metal building.
The funnel was sharply defined, narrow at its upper section and slightly wider near the base as it made contact with the surface.
The video is identified as the second tornado recording from the same storm system on June 22, 2026. It was captured near the Century Plant along the route between Sanderson and Fort Stockton in Terrell County, Texas.
The formation is described as a landspout, a non-supercell tornado that develops from the ground upward in conditions involving strong surface heating and wind shear, without a rotating mesocyclone aloft.
No injuries or damage were reported in the rural area where the event occurred.
Multiple funnel formations and storm activity were also documented in the region during the same day under favorable severe weather conditions across West Texas.
