Brize Norton, United Kingdom – A Voyager force Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) from 10 and 101 Squadron of the Royal Air Force Brize Norton was deployed to provide air-to-air refuelling for combat aircraft during Exercise Ramstein Flag 2026.

The Voyager aircraft delivered fuel to NATO partner aircraft across European airspace throughout the exercise, completing more than 10 separate sorties.

Exercise Ramstein Flag 2026 is an annual NATO exercise involving 18 allied nations, more than 200 aircraft, and over 20 operational bases across Europe.

The exercise ran from June 8 to June 19, 2026, stretching from Finland in the north to Spain in the south, designed to strengthen the alliance’s ability to conduct complex air operations under collective defence.

More than 150 sorties were expected to take place daily. Alongside combat aircraft, the exercise also included transport aircraft, air-to-air refuelling assets, and intelligence and reconnaissance platforms.

Participating aircraft included Czech Saab JAS-39C/D Gripens, German Air Force Eurofighter Typhoons and Tornados, French Air and Space Force Dassault Rafales, and Swedish Gripens.
