Albay, Philippines – Sped-up camera footage recorded lava effusion with collapse-fed pyroclastic density currents at 07:36 PM on June 21, 2026.

Mayon Volcano’s effusive eruption has now continued for its 167th consecutive day, producing incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) locally known as “uson,” and rockfalls.

The footage captured collapsing lava generating pyroclastic density currents moving down the volcano’s slopes.

Alert Level 3 remains in effect over Mayon Volcano, and entry into the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone is strictly prohibited.
