Colorado Springs, Colorado – Security camera footage shows a black bear entering a residential driveway from the street before moving toward an open garage area.

The bear approaches a white trash bag left near the edge of the driveway, sniffing and pawing at it as it investigates the contents.

It then circles the bag, tears it open, and drags pieces of trash across the concrete, scattering debris across the driveway while continuing to search through the mess.

The animal later entered the open garage, where it took the trash bag before moving back outside. The homeowner was inside the residence at the time and did not confront the bear.

The bear eventually left the driveway and moved out of frame after continuing to inspect the scattered trash.

Authorities note that there have been hundreds of bear incidents along Colorado’s Front Range this year and advise residents to secure trash, remove pet food, and take down bird feeders to reduce wildlife encounters.
