Eastern Pacific Ocean — A large-scale maritime enforcement operation has resulted in the interception of multiple drug-carrying vessels and the seizure of thousands of pounds of cocaine.

The mission involved the USCG Cutter Bear and an embarked helicopter crew, which worked together to stop two go-fast vessels operating in the Eastern Pacific. The coordinated action led to the recovery of more than 7,000 pounds of cocaine.

The broader effort has now contributed to Operation Pacific Viper surpassing a major milestone, with a total of 225,000 pounds of cocaine seized, valued at more than 2.0 billion dollars.

The operation took place at sea as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illicit trafficking routes far from shore.

Authorities emphasized continued maritime enforcement aimed at securing national borders and intercepting narcotics before they reach land.
