Boborás, Ourense, Galicia, Spain – Nighttime footage shows a fierce wildfire burning across a rugged hillside in the Moreiras area, with bright orange flames forming a continuous line across the slope.

Thick smoke rises into the dark sky as the fire advances through vegetation on steep terrain. Embers and smaller flare-ups are visible along the active edge, while silhouetted trees stand against the glow of the blaze.

The camera view captures the northern sector of the fire, where the main front remains strong. Smoke drifts across the landscape, partially obscuring sections of the burning hillside as the fire continues to spread or hold its position.

The footage, recorded in the early hours of June 15, 2026, documents the ongoing Incendio Forestal de Moreiras in Boborás, which began the previous night. The fire is believed to have been caused by lightning and has already burned more than 200 hectares in difficult terrain near populated areas. A Level 2 emergency has been declared due to the risk to nearby villages, including Vecoña.

BRIF Laza crews worked through the night on containment efforts but later withdrew after reaching their maximum working hours. Their assigned sector was reported as secured with no active flames. However, the northern front of the fire remained active, with a strong line of burning vegetation requiring continued firefighting efforts from other teams and reinforcements.

Authorities continue to monitor and attack remaining hotspots as conditions remain challenging due to terrain and wind. No injuries have been reported among responders or residents.
