New York City, United States – Video filmed by X user Jeremy L. shows a school bus engulfed in flames on 42nd Street near Eighth Avenue by the Port Authority Bus Terminal during celebrations of the New York Knicks’ championship victory.

Video shows flames erupting from the bus as it burned intensely in the middle of the roadway overnight on Sunday. Thick fire engulfed the vehicle as it remained in the center of the street.

Police say multiple school buses were either set on fire or destroyed using bats and by people jumping on them. The buses had been used to transport people from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium for World Cup games.

The incident occurred as crowds filled parts of Midtown Manhattan during the celebrations, with widespread disorder reported in the surrounding area.
