Black Star Canyon, California – On Memorial Day, the OCFA helicopter rescue team responded after receiving reports of two hikers stranded on a steep rock face in Black Star Canyon.

A rescue medic was inserted by the helicopter rescue team and carried out a hoist rescue operation.

Both hikers were safely extracted from the cliffside during the mission.

Neither of the individuals was injured.
