Western and central Iran – The Israeli Air Force carried out precision strikes against Iranian air defense systems belonging to the Iranian regime, destroying at least one key launcher system that contained surface-to-air missiles.
The Israel Defense Forces released the first color footage of the operation, showing a direct hit on one of the targeted systems and the explosions that followed.
The video shows a military installation in rocky, desert-like terrain. A precision strike impacts the center of a missile launcher or air defense battery, unleashing a large explosion with fire, smoke, and debris.
After the initial blast, multiple secondary explosions erupt as missiles stored on the launcher ignite and detonate. The chain reaction confirms the presence of live ordnance within the system, while smoke and flames continue to pour from the destroyed site.
In a statement, the IDF said: “The Air Force recently completed a strike mission against air defense systems of the Iranian terrorist regime in western and central Iran.”
The military added: “The IDF is now publishing color footage of the destruction of one of the systems, where missiles intended to hit aircraft were stored. After the strike, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of the missiles in the launcher.”
According to the IDF, the destruction of the systems further expands the Israeli Air Force’s aerial superiority over Iran and is intended to continue removing threats to Israeli civilians. The military stated that the targeted systems posed a direct risk to aircraft.
The strikes are part of ongoing efforts to degrade the Iranian regime’s ability to launch or defend against attacks, while operations continue with the aim of removing additional threats.
