Canlaon City, Philippines – Ongoing ash emission from the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano sent grayish plumes 1,200 meters into the air beginning at 6:00 a.m. on May 28, 2026.
Sped-up camera footage captured by the IP camera at the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory in Canlaon City showed continuous ash emissions rising above the crater before drifting southwest.
Authorities said the ash plume reached 1,200 meters above the summit crater during the volcanic activity.
Alert Level 2 remained in effect over Kanlaon Volcano as the ash emission continued.
