Jekyll Island Alligator Found Under Hotel Car Safely Removed By Wildlife Officials

Jekyll Island, Georgia, United States – Troopers responded early Saturday morning to reports of a large alligator, estimated at 10 to 11 feet long, found under a car in a hotel parking lot on Jekyll Island.

Wildlife personnel arrived on scene and safely captured the animal before relocating it to a pond on the island.

Additional support, including crowd control and assistance with lifting and handling, was provided during the response as the situation unfolded in the parking area.

Officials noted that the incident involved unexpected reptile removal services carried out alongside routine public safety response duties.

The alligator was successfully relocated without reported harm to people or the animal.
