Attack Jets And Refuel Aircraft Conduct Air-To-Air Training Mission

Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, United States – U.S. Air Force aircraft carried out air-to-air refueling operations on May 19, 2026, during a training mission involving A-10 Thunderbolt II attack jets and HC-130 King Combat II refueling aircraft.

The HC-130 King Combat II, assigned to the 71st Rescue Squadron, conducted refueling operations with A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft assigned to the 74th Rescue Squadron at Moody Air Force Base.

The exercise was designed to improve pilot proficiency and enhance operational readiness for aerial refueling procedures.

Officials stated that the mission also supported the Air Force’s ability to rapidly project combat airpower in support of global operations.
