Peerless, Montana – Violent dust storms swept across a rural farm in Peerless, Montana, as a combine harvester moved slowly through a field during early morning work under powerful winds.
The handheld video, filmed by X user Curtis Fladager from a wooden porch railing overlooking the farm, shows a green combine cutting across the dusty field while massive clouds of brown dirt and soil blow across the landscape. Visibility drops sharply as the sky turns into a thick, orange-tinted haze.
A white tanker trailer can be seen parked nearby while the combine continues harvesting through the blowing dust.
The camera slowly pans across the farmstead, revealing a gray shed with a red roof, tractors, hay bales, fences, and scattered equipment. Much of the property is partially hidden behind the dense dust clouds sweeping across the open plains.
Strong winds continue lifting soil from the tilled ground, creating severe low-visibility conditions and an almost apocalyptic scene across eastern Montana farmland.
The footage was posted this morning with the caption: “It’s only 8 o’clock and the dust is already blowing. It’s going to be a long day.”
