Fulton County, Georgia, USA – A trapped kitten was rescued from a deep drainage system after an animal services officer used a leash and cellphone flashlight in a prolonged effort to reach the animal.

Animal Services Officer Eubanks responded to the scene after reports of a kitten stuck inside the drainage system, where visibility and access were extremely limited.

Authorities said the location made it difficult to even see the kitten, which complicated the rescue effort from the start.

Using his cellphone flashlight to illuminate the drain, Eubanks worked with one hand while carefully lowering a leash into the system with the other.

The officer attempted to loop the leash around the kitten in order to lift it out safely.

The process required repeated attempts as he tried to guide the leash into position in the confined space.

After approximately two hours of effort, the leash was successfully secured around the kitten.

The animal was then carefully hoisted out of the drainage system and brought to safety.

Officials confirmed the kitten was successfully rescued after the extended operation.
