San Francisco, United States – A firefighter in full rescue gear climbed a steep, sandy cliff at Fort Funston while carrying a small black dog rescued from an unstable section of the slope.

The firefighter was secured with a helmet, harness, and bright orange and green safety ropes as he carefully ascended the eroding cliff face.

From above on a grassy bluff, the camera followed the climb. Far below, ocean waves crashed along the beach, and a San Francisco Fire Department rescue truck was parked on the sand with equipment on top.

At the top of the cliff, other firefighters were already positioned. One directed the operation and managed the ropes as the climber approached the edge.

When the firefighter reached the grassy area, he was met by the team. Several firefighters surrounded him, handling ropes and equipment as they worked together to complete the rescue.

The small black dog remained calm and secure in the rescuer’s arms throughout the entire operation.

The scene reflected coordinated teamwork on the steep coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
