Guizhou, China – A video shows a large snake crossing a street and moving close to a house where two small children are playing at the start of the footage.

A motorcycle then travels along the road and comes near the snake. The snake reacts sharply, turning toward the rider and drawing attention to itself. The rider notices the danger and calls firefighters.

The incident also includes surveillance footage showing a giant venomous snake entering a residential home and moving quietly inside the property.

Firefighters arrived after being alerted and carried out a careful search of the area to locate the animal. Using a snake-catching tool, they completed a controlled capture in around ten minutes.

The snake was identified as a king cobra, highly venomous, measuring about three metres in length and weighing around twelve pounds. It was then transported to a remote wild area and released.
