Ganges Township, Michigan, USA – Michigan State Police Fifth District officers in Wayland are investigating the theft of a 6-foot taxidermy black bear from a porch on Lakeshore Drive.

The bear, reported stolen on January 19, was adorned with a ring, necklace, a fake sheriff’s badge, and a holster containing a toy gun.

Authorities describe the suspect as male or female, with a thin to medium build, wearing glasses and black clothing.

MSP Fifth District urges anyone with information about the theft to contact Wayland officers to help recover the unusual stolen item.
