15-Year-Old Leads Dangerous Dirt Bike Chase Through Naples Traffic

Naples, Florida – A 15-year-old is facing a felony charge after a reckless electric dirt bike chase through rush-hour traffic on Tuesday.

“This young man’s reckless riding put countless pedestrians and motorists at risk,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “I am grateful for the professional response of our deputies in bringing this incident to a safe resolution. Keeping our roads and sidewalks safe for everyone who lives, works and travels in Collier County is a top priority.”

Shortly before 6 p.m., deputies patrolling Golden Gate Parkway and 66th Street Southwest saw Kyle Vincent Siemon speeding and performing stunts on a sidewalk, showing no regard for public safety. When deputies attempted to stop him, Siemon fled, reaching speeds of nearly 70 mph in heavy traffic.

During the pursuit, Siemon repeatedly looked back at deputies with lights and sirens activated, jumping sidewalks and weaving through traffic along Golden Gate Parkway. The chase was quickly terminated due to the dangerous conditions.

Moments later, Siemon rode down a hill into a ditch near Santa Barbara Boulevard and Recreation Lane, where his bike became stuck. Deputies safely took him into custody without incident.

He was transported to Collier County Jail and now faces a charge of fleeing and eluding law enforcement.
