Volusia County, Florida, USA – Today, 13-year-old Ian Franco was arrested after a School Resource Deputy received a Gaggle alert showing he asked ChatGPT: “How to kill my friend in the middle of class.”

The alert prompted an immediate response from law enforcement and school administrators. When questioned, Franco said he was “just trolling a friend who was annoying him.”

Officials described the incident as another “joke” that created an emergency on campus. Parents are urged to talk to their children to prevent similar situations.
