Santa Sofia, Italy – On Sunday, May 4, 2025, firefighters responded to a rescue call for a woman who fell on a trail in the Val di Covile area.

The request reached the Forlì fire department in the morning.

A team from the Civitella di Romagna station and the SAF (Speleo Alpine River) unit of Forlì were sent to the scene.

Using GPS coordinates, firefighters and alpine rescuers reached the injured woman in a remote area.

They cleared space to allow a medical helicopter to reach and recover her safely.
