Cottonwood Canyons, Utah – A strong winter storm is hitting SR-190 and SR-210 hard today. Snow showers will continue all day through 6 p.m. on March 22, with the heaviest snow falling in the morning. Roads near resorts could see 2 to 5 inches of snow.
The forecast shows more snow overnight. By 6 a.m. on March 23, an additional half-inch to 1 inch of snow is possible on roads until midnight. Patchy ice may form, but conditions should mostly dry out after that.
A Road Weather Alert is in effect for SR-190 and SR-210. Drivers should plan ahead. Through 6 a.m. on March 22, snow will fall all night, leaving 3 to 6 inches of road snow in the upper canyons.
The storm intensifies again during the day. Through 6 p.m. on March 22, snow is expected all day, peaking in the morning and midday. Roads near resorts could see another 3 to 6 inches of snow, making travel tough.
