Antakya, Turkey – A fierce wildfire is raging near the University in Antakya. Thick dark smoke clouds have engulfed the sky as flames spread rapidly on a nearby hill.

On July 1st, X user h@vv@ çel!k£L published a video showing the fire’s destructive path close to the university campus. The user said the flames almost reached the university grounds.

The wildfire has forced authorities to evacuate around 1,500 people to safety. Firefighters are battling the blaze, but the situation remains critical as the fire continues to spread.

Residents remain on high alert as the smoke darkens the area and the threat to homes and schools grows.
