Barniedo de la Reina, Castilla y León, Spain – A dramatic wildfire continues to ravage the hillsides of Barniedo de la Reina, scorching approximately 15,300 hectares and producing towering flames and dense smoke that fill the sky.
Video footage from the scene shows the wildfire’s aggressive convective behavior, with embers lofted high into the air and spreading to ignite new fires hundreds of meters away. This phenomenon has made containment extremely difficult for emergency responders.
