Beaverton, Oregon – A video shows a confrontation between a motorcyclist and the driver of a van on westbound Highway 26.
After only a few words were exchanged, the van drove into the motorcycle, hitting it with the side of the vehicle and forcing the rider off the road. The motorcyclist rolled after impact.
The Beaverton Police Department is investigating the hit-and-run, which occurred on May 5, 2025, at around 6:16 AM between Highway 217 and Cedar Hills Boulevard.
The incident is believed to have been a result of road rage. The suspect was driving a blue late-model Kia Carnival. Police say the driver sideswiped the motorcycle and fled the scene. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Investigators believe the act was intentional. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, with a black beard.

The department urges anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Kia to come forward.
