Fort McCoy, Wisconsin – U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employees stocked rainbow trout on April 23, 2025, at Suukjak Sep Lake on North Post.

Approximately 15,000 rainbow trout were released into several lakes and ponds at Fort McCoy. The fish were provided by the USFWS Genoa National Fish Hatchery in Genoa, Wisconsin.

Rainbow trout are a popular game fish and are well-suited for many of Fort McCoy’s waterways. The annual stocking helps support local fishing opportunities.
