Wirral Coast, England – A lifeboat was launched at 10:45 a.m. after reports of two individuals stranded by the flooding tide between Middle Eye and Little Eye.
The pair were found standing on rocks surrounded by water. Lifeboat crew reached them on one of the last uncovered rocks in the area.
Both people were safely brought back to Sandy Lane slipway. They did not require medical attention. The Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team met them and provided safety advice.
On the return trip, the crew checked on four people on Middle Eye and one person on Hilbre Island. All were safe and chose to stay on the islands until the tide receded.
