Two Clumsy Deer Rescued from Ditch by Firefighters in Princess-Style Hug

Xining, Qinghai – Two hapless roe deer, classified as national second-level protected animals, recently found themselves in a sticky situation after tumbling into a 3-meter deep ditch in western China. The blundering pair, clearly not the sharpest tools in the shed, were spotted floundering helplessly until local heroes from the Xining Fire Department swooped in to save the day.

Firefighters, alerted by a frantic call, raced to the scene with ladders in tow. What followed was a comical tug-of-war as the rescuers descended into the murky trench. After a bit of a wrestle with the bewildered beasts, the team cleverly looped ropes around their legs. With a hefty heave and a touch of finesse, each deer was scooped up in a dramatic princess-style hug and hoisted to safety.

The operation was a roaring success, and the dazed duo, no worse for wear, were promptly released back into the wilds of the mountains. Social media lit up with footage of the rescue, with netizens calling the firefighters “blue friends” for their gallant efforts. These “silly roe deer” might not win any awards for grace, but thanks to the quick-thinking crew, they’ve got a second shot at roaming free.
