Columbus, Ohio – A slow-moving turtle got a fast-moving rescue on US 22, thanks to the quick action of an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer.
Sgt. Brice Nihiser from the Public Affairs Unit spotted the turtle attempting to cross the road and acted swiftly to help it reach safety.
The turtle was in danger from passing vehicles, but Sgt. Nihiser ensured it safely made it across the highway without harm.
The Highway Patrol reminds drivers that if something is slowing you down on the road, you can safely call 677 to reach the nearest patrol post.
