Izmir, Turkey – The wildfire in Cesme has been successfully brought under control after an intense overnight operation by firefighting teams, followed by aerial support at dawn.
Crews battled the blaze throughout the night. As daylight broke, aircraft were deployed to assist in containing the fire completely.
Efforts remain ongoing to control fires still burning in Odemis and Buca. Firefighters continue their struggle both on the ground and from the air.
Officials have reaffirmed their determination to protect the country’s forests. “We will keep defending our Green Homeland with all our strength,” they stated.
