Trooper Rescues Deer Trapped In Wrought-Iron Fence In Spring Arbor

Spring Arbor Township, Jackson County – On Friday, October 10, Michigan State Police troopers from the Jackson Post responded to a report of a deer trapped in a wrought-iron fence on the 3600 block of Spring Arbor Road.

Using a red hydraulic floor jack borrowed from a resident, a trooper carefully lifted the fence bars, working patiently to free the tangled antlered buck. Amid calm wildlife and light banter, the deer wriggled free without injury.

Video footage captured the trooper’s steady efforts, showing the deer safely bounding into a wooded yard after its release. The rescue demonstrates the troopers’ dedication to public safety and care for animals.
