Huesca, Spain – Three climbers were rescued Sunday afternoon after becoming trapped and exhausted on the Salenques Ridge in the Aneto massif.
The mountaineers, all from Madrid, found themselves stuck with no way to continue due to physical exhaustion.
Salenques Ridge is a well-known and demanding route among climbers in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
The Guardia Civil responded swiftly to assist the stranded group.
This was one of eleven mountain rescues carried out by Greim teams in Huesca province over the weekend.
It marks the first major wave of summer rescue operations in the region.
