The Moment Irish Gaza Flotilla Heroes Return To Dublin Airport

Dublin, Ireland – A video filmed by X user 3nkaboot from Dublin Airport’s arrivals hall shows about 100 people gathered behind red barriers, waving Irish tricolors and Palestinian flags under bright fluorescent lights.

Banners reading “Welcome Home” and “Free Palestine” were held high as families and activists carried flowers and water bottles, cheering the returning aid team.

Five participants, including Tadhg Hickey, appeared with suitcases and were met with emotional hugs, loud cheers, and drum beats, while security in yellow hi-vis vests monitored the scene.

The Global Sumud Flotilla aid mission to Gaza was intercepted by Israeli forces on October 3, 2025. Detainees endured four days without clean water, drinking toilet water, while diabetics like Hickey were denied insulin.

Eight of the 15 Irish activists have now returned and vowed to attempt the mission again.
