New Idria, California – On May 17, while assigned to the Idria Fire, the Boggs Mountain Helitack crew captured dramatic footage of Tanker 160 in action.

The tanker made a precise drop on a slop over along the east side of New Idria Road.

The maneuver showcased the power of coordinated air and ground efforts battling the blaze.

Crews on the ground worked in unison with aerial support to slow the fire’s spread.

Their combined response helped protect the surrounding area from further damage.
