Tampa, Florida – On March 27, 2025, a wrong-way driver nearly struck a Tampa Police Department DUI officer responding to a call. The officer confronted the driver, who showed obvious signs of impairment.

After being detained, the driver’s Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) registered at 0.275. This staggering level, nearly three times the legal limit, revealed extreme intoxication.

Tampa Police highlighted the lethal threat of impaired driving. Every drunk driver risks the lives of families, friends, and officers on the road.
