Dublin, Ireland – A video filmed by X user 3nkaboot in Dublin Airport’s arrivals hall shows pro-Palestine activist and Irish comedian Tadhg Hickey being warmly greeted by supporters.
Hickey, bald and bearded, wore a gray shirt and an orange scarf as people waved Irish and Palestinian flags around him. Supporters chanted, took selfies, and embraced him under the bright airport lights while wearing “We Can’t Have Peace” t-shirts.
Hickey, a Cork-born comedian, writer, and filmmaker known for his political satire and human rights advocacy, returned after four days in Israeli detention. He was part of the Gaza aid mission on the Global Sumud Flotilla, where detainees faced harsh conditions such as drinking toilet water and being denied insulin.
He arrived alongside four other Irish activists, vowing to attempt the delivery again.
