Swell From Hurricane Erin Hits Rodanthe As Storm Moves Across Atlantic

Rodanthe, North Carolina – On August 19, Chicamacomico Banks Fire & Rescue shared a video showing powerful ocean waves generated by Hurricane Erin’s strong winds and energy as it moved across the Atlantic.

The video captures the storm-driven swell approaching the coast, highlighting the intensity of the waves along the shoreline.

Chicamacomico Banks Fire & Rescue warned residents, “Swell from Erin is slowly filling in here in Rodanthe. High tide is tonight around 5:15pm. The track of Erin is still questionable, please prepare for the worst.”

Officials urged locals to remain alert and take precautions as the storm’s path remains uncertain.
