Hilo, Hawaii – On March 26, John W. Ratcliff visited Kilauea volcano and captured an incredible video of lava fountains soaring 180 meters high.
He shared his excitement, saying: Almost every week now. It’s been pretty cool to be able to check it out. Last week’s was pretty amazing, but today’s looks just as cool.
Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupted again on Wednesday, March 26, sending lava hundreds of feet into the air.
The United States Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that the volcano entered episode 15 of its active period on Tuesday.
According to the USGS, the lava fountains reached heights of 600 feet (180 meters).
