La Palma, Spain – A Super Puma helicopter from the 802 Squadron of the Spanish Air and Space Force carried out a medical evacuation of a crew member from a cargo ship. The ship was located over 600 kilometers northwest of La Palma island.

The mission showcased the outstanding coordination between the Air and Space Force, airports, control centers, SASEMAR, and CECOES 112. These groups worked together seamlessly to ensure the rescue was a success.
