Northwest Minnesota – As of December 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., multiple highways in Northwest Minnesota have been closed due to severe winter conditions, with authorities advising against travel.
The affected roads include Highway 1 from the North Dakota border to Warren, Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston, Highway 75 from Shelly to the Canadian border, Highway 175 from the North Dakota border to Hallock, and Highway 220 from Climax to Highway 11.
Officials warn that conditions remain hazardous, and residents are urged to avoid travel until roads are reopened and safe for passage.
