Hollywood, Florida – Video captured by Florida Pete shows Sheridan Street east of US 1 submerged in floodwaters as vehicles struggled to move through the waterlogged roadway.

The flooding affected a stretch lined with a bus stop, trees, and nearby buildings, highlighting the disruption in both residential and commercial areas.

Authorities issued flash flood alerts and aerial flood advisories across South Florida as heavy rainfall continued to cause widespread problems.

Hollywood has long been vulnerable to intense rainstorms, with low-lying neighborhoods particularly at risk. The latest flooding raised further concerns over the city’s drainage systems and infrastructure, which have been repeatedly tested by similar events in the past.
