Seven Soldiers Lifted Into The Sky Hanging From Helicopter In Shocking Video

New River, North Carolina – A dramatic video shows a U.S. Army helicopter suddenly lifting seven soldiers into the sky as they hang suspended from ropes.

The soldiers were part of a special patrol insertion and extraction (SPIE) training mission.

The operation took place near Marine Corps Air Station New River on May 8, 2025.

U.S. Marines from the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion teamed up with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269 for the intense drill.

The training was designed to sharpen the squadron’s skills in assault support operations.

It also aimed to improve coordination with Marine Corps ground forces.

The SPIE technique allows rapid extraction of troops from areas where a helicopter cannot safely land.

This high-risk maneuver is used in challenging terrain or combat zones.

The suspended soldiers soared through the air as the helicopter lifted them to safety.

The scene showcased both precision and trust between pilots and ground units.
