Norfolk, Virginia – Sailors aboard the USS Stout returned to Naval Station Norfolk after an intense eight-month deployment.
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer was part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group.
During the mission, the strike group operated in both the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas.
The deployment included combat operations in the Red Sea and joint exercises with NATO Allies.
In total, the group completed more than 13,000 sorties and logged over 25,000 flight hours.
Together, the ships sailed more than 240,000 nautical miles.
