Russian Pyrotechnics Destroy WWII Ammunition in Volgograd Region

Volgograd Region, Russia – During earthworks in the settlement of Maly Rogachik, a German SD-70 high-explosive fragmentation bomb from World War II was uncovered.

Specialists from the Don Rescue Center of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations inspected the site. They extracted additional items from the ground, including an artillery shell, a mortar mine, and two artillery fuses.

The pyrotechnics team destroyed all the discovered ammunition at a designated range. The operation followed strict safety protocols to ensure no risk to the area.
