Rough River Lake, Kentucky – On April 10, 2025, officials provided an update following a recent flooding event.

Jackie Henn, Dam Safety Program Manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, spoke on the situation.

She discussed the historic pool levels reached at Rough River Lake.

Henn also explained the risk reduction measures that were put in place earlier.

These steps were designed to protect the dam’s integrity during high water conditions.

They will remain active until the Phase 2 rehabilitation project can be completed.

Officials continue to monitor the site closely.
