Abbadia Lariana, Lecco, Italy – On Sunday, September 28, 2025, firefighters responded to a rockfall along the main northbound road in Abbadia Lariana. The fallen rocks also affected the nearby railway line, which was temporarily closed.

Over 150 passengers on a train were evacuated using fire truck ladders. The operation ensured everyone was safely removed from the blocked train.

By 5:10 PM, the evacuation was completed, and firefighters began securing the area to prevent further hazards. Two ladders were used during the rescue to assist with the operation.
