Pabradė, Lithuania – U.S. Army soldiers from the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, are working hard to recover a submerged M88 Hercules vehicle. The incident happened in a swamp near a training area on March 30, 2025.

The team is joined by Lithuanian Armed Forces personnel and local emergency services. Together, they are tackling the challenge of retrieving the vehicle, which is stuck under several meters of water.

The recovery operation began after the vehicle became submerged during a training exercise. Efforts are ongoing as of March 31, 2025, with crews using specialized equipment to locate and lift it from the swamp.

This joint mission highlights the cooperation between U.S. and Lithuanian forces. Both teams remain focused on safely completing the recovery despite difficult conditions.
