Carrizo Plain National Monument, California – On March 21, 2025, a trail camera near the Goodwin Education Center captured rare footage of a kit fox family.
The Bureau of Land Management reported that the footage shows a den site with a family of kit foxes. These small foxes are among the tiniest in North America.
