Mount Shasta California – A wildfire near the city of Mount Shasta prompted evacuation warnings Monday night before crews stopped its forward progress.
The Spring Fire burned 12 acres as of Tuesday morning according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The fire was reported around 9 p.m. near Spring Hill Drive just north of Mount Shasta.
The Spring Fire burned in a mix of timber and brush Cal Fire said.
At one point the fire threatened 174 structures.
No buildings were destroyed and no injuries have been reported Cal Fire said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
