Protesters Fill Trafalgar Square After Ban On Palestine Action Demonstration

London, United Kingdom – On June 23, X user Disco Deewana posted a video showing a large gathering of Palestine Action supporters in Trafalgar Square.

The video, captioned “Trafalgar Square right now,” shows a peaceful crowd assembled in the central London square during the early afternoon.

Protesters gathered after the group was barred from demonstrating outside Parliament. The last-minute location change followed an announcement from Home Secretary Yvette Cooper that Palestine Action would be proscribed as a terrorist organisation.

Around 500 people were present, some waving Palestinian flags and wearing face coverings.

Though background reports mention earlier tensions and arrests, the video shared online does not show any confrontations with police.

Supporters remained in Trafalgar Square for around three hours.
