Stockbridge, Georgia – A police officer in Stockbridge acted quickly to prevent a potential disaster at a gas station.

The incident happened last week at a Raceway gas station.

Officer T. Hoffman responded to a report of a vehicle fire at the location.

When he arrived, the car was already in flames and dangerously close to the fuel pumps.

Dash cam footage shows the officer using his patrol vehicle to push the burning car away from the pumps.

His fast response helped stop what could have been a much more dangerous situation.

Authorities say the officer’s actions likely prevented serious damage or injury.
